A lady asked me
for a chicken schnitzel
and when I went to get her one
I noticed that
it was shaped exactly like
Australia

I knew she would never appreciate
such a discovery
so on my way back
quietly
stealthily
I slipped and
it fell
and was replaced

Later that night
with the schnitzel
clutched under my arm
I took it into the study
onto my father’s map collection
onto Australia

My suspicions
were confirmed

The old bag
would never have appreciated
this discovery
as much as
I do.
