I
Lost boys on a boat
sail across a sea of stars;
home awaits, blessed souls.
II
On evergreen skies
sun-kissed stars smile up at them,
and oh, how they blushed!
III
Cradled in white, they
dance slow with night dressed in stars—
some spill on their wrists.
IV
Sunlight lulled the moon
as she sang the stars to sleep
tucked under silk clouds.
V
The sun burns their skin
deep into the core, leaving
nothing but ember.
VI
Peter Pan was right:
we drift away from the stars
as we grow up—scarred.
