Haunting feels like invisible mist touching you in abandoned cemeteries, the trauma which lingers at the end of a crime scene.

Haunting feels like the actions of your past which meet you in fleeting moments. It pains you and then you spiral and spiral and spiral.

I once read in a book that grief is a house that disappears with you. You’re stuck in this haunted house. You see the grinning ghost in the mirror on the wall. You scream. The broken mirror at your feet, shattered.

Haunting feels like the quiet space in your head which is then filled up with the loud voice, and another and another and another. Your head hurts and the world loses its colour.

You collapse.
