UMSU endorses the upcoming Students for Palestine Nakba Day Rally on Wednesday 13 May at 12pm on South Lawn.

Nakba Day marks the displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians in 1948, when hundreds of villages were destroyed and communities were forcibly uprooted. This day continues to shape Palestinian life and identity today as well as remain a significant moment of remembrance, reflection, and recognition.

Nakba Day is also a time to center Palestinian voices and experiences, and to acknowledge their continued calls for justice, dignity, and self-determination.

This endorsement reflects UMSU’s commitment to amplifying student voices and supporting peaceful, student-led advocacy on campus.
