Hello CAKE clubbers!

We would like to invite you to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is a great opportunity to get involved in your university community, make new friends, add something sweet to your resume, and of course get involved with CAKE. 

At this AGM, we will be voting to amend the constitution and voting on a new club committee, which means YOU have a chance to join the committee. Attached are the agenda, the current constitution, and the proposed constitutional amendments. 

Important: You MUST be a club member to participate in the AGM, and at least 20 UniMelb student club members must attend the meeting for quorum to be met and the AGM to go through.

The AGM details are as follows.

Time: 5:00 to 6:00pm (separately ticketed Munch Time Free Food event at 4:00pm)

All committee positions are up for re-election. Positions marked with ** are only available if the constitutional amendment is voted on and approved. The available positions are as follows:

Executive

  • President: Oversees the club and makes sure everything is running smoothly
  • ** Vice-President: Supports the President in overseeing the club
  • Secretary: Handles all administrative duties like emails and documents
  • Treasurer: Handles the club bank account and all financials

Non-Executive

  • ** Events Co-ordinator: Leads the brainstorming for event ideas and organises people for them so that they run smoothly
  • ** Marketing Director: In charge of the social media and club image
  • ** Sponsorship Liaison: Reaches out to brands and businesses to acquire member benefits and collaborators
  • General Committee Member (x10): Supports everyone else in everything else!

If you’re interested in joining the committee but are unable to attend the actual meeting, please feel free to send us an email with:

  1. A short biography of who you are, 
  2. What position/s you are running for (in case you aren’t elected for your preferred role), 
  3. Why you would be an excellent candidate for the role, and 
  4. A photo of yourself (if you would like 😊)

This will be read out and shown at the meeting for club members to vote on.
