The most exciting item on the agenda is elections! Want to get involved in CLAWS? At the AGM, all existing roles below and their eligibility criteria are up for grabs:

💜 EXECUTIVE ROLES

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Events Officer

Eligibility criteria for Executive roles:

  1. You must have either a) contributed to Inkspot and been recognised as such in his print, or b) attended at least three CLAWS events with signed proof on at least three attendance forms
  2. You must be a CLAWS member.
  3. You must be a University of Melbourne student.

If no eligible candidates volunteer for an Executive position, criteria 1 will be waived.

💜 NON-EXECUTIVE ROLES

  • Writing Facilitators (up to 3)
  • Publications Officers (up to 4)
  • Media Officers (up to 5)

Eligibility criteria for Non-Executive roles:

  1. You must have either a) contributed to Inkspot and been recognised as such in his print, or b) attended at least three CLAWS events with signed proof on at least three attendance forms
  2. You must be a CLAWS member.

If no eligible candidates volunteer for a Non-Executive position, criteria 1 will be waived.

If you would like to run for a committee role but are unwell or have an unavoidable timetable clash, please email claws.unimelb@gmail.com - we will send you a form to fill out with your contact details, proof of eligibility, the position you are running for and your speech. But please try to rock up if you can - we need to meet quorum - in other words, have 20 members attend - in order for the meeting and its decisions to be legitimised. So please come along to support both the club and your friends who are running for positions, and get some insight and say in how CLAWS operates!
