It is one of the European ‘noble grapes’, at home in Burgundy as it is in Champagne. It has found a home all the way over here in Australia, the US and even Chile. It has a reputation for being both buttery and also mineral sharp...
This semester, the Wine Society presents our first Masterclass! Our preeminent subject could be none other than Chardonnay.
This event will journey through 8 different wines telling the story of Chardonnay, in a more structured and educational format than our usual tasting events. No prior knowledge is required! This event is perfect for wine beginners and wine connoisseurs alike. With a mix of European and Australian wines, this is event is not to be missed.
We are extremely lucky to have our event privately hosted by Arnold’s Wine Bar in Kensington, just 2 kilometres from the University. The Masterclass will be hosted by our very own committee member, Caterina Misale, who has planned the Wine Society's educational components since 2022 and has worked in specialty wine retail and dining throughout Melbourne.
No prior knowledge about wine required. Tickets available from 26/04 for members and 28/04 for general release.
This event is open to students aged 18+ from all disciplines and years. Tickets for this event are strictly capped at 25. Please make sure you are well fed before the event. This event is hosted at a licensed venue and observes the responsible service of alcohol (RSA). Ensure you bring ID.
