Club Special General Meeting: Elections, Sushi and Democracy
Our club’s Special General Meeting is coming up on Wednesday, 5 August, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Room 201 of the David Caro Building.
The main event of the evening will be the election of five new committee members, including:
- Treasurer
- Marketing Executive
- Three General Committee members
This is your chance to help decide who will manage the money, promote the club and take on the mysterious responsibilities hidden behind the words “general committee.”
Whether you are planning to nominate yourself, support a friend or simply want to see democracy in action, all club members are encouraged to attend. Every vote matters, especially when there are committee positions to fill and important club decisions to make.
We will also have free sushi for attendees. Yes, actual free sushi—not just an election promise. Come for the democratic process, stay for the sushi, and leave knowing you helped shape the future of the club.
No previous committee experience is required to nominate yourself. You only need enthusiasm, a willingness to get involved and the ability to attend meetings without mysteriously disappearing halfway through the semester.
