The VCA Music Theatre Society warmly invites you to our first open dance class of the semester!
Join us for an exciting evening of Latin Fusion, led by second-year student Zara Psirakis.
This class will be taught at an intermediate level, however dancers of all experience are welcome!
Zara Psirakis (she/her) is a proud Greek/Australian performer born and raised in Sydney who is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts Music Theatre at The Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne. Since the age of 2, Zara has trained in all styles of dance, mentored by Jacqui Howard and Briden Starr, graduating from the Village Nation Part-Time course in 2023. At VCA, Zara has performed in ‘Titanic’ (dir. Tyran Parke), Morning Melodies at the Hamer Hall (dir. Jayde Kirchert), and is currently in rehearsals for ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ (dir. Alister Smith). In her final year of senior studies, Zara graduated with a Diploma in Speech and Drama from Trinity College London, earned Encore and OnStage nominations for her HSC Music and Drama performances, conducted her house choir in the Kambala Music Festival at The Sydney Opera House where she was awarded Best Conductor, and earned the Latin dance award at Village Nation.
