Active Citizen Workshop
24/08/2026–24/08/2026
6:00 PM–7:30 PM
Amnesty International University of Melbourne
Want to care about what’s happening in the world without feeling like you have no idea what to actually do about it?
Amnesty's Active Citizen Workshop is a fun, interactive session designed to help you turn awareness into action. Through practical activities, group discussions and real-world scenarios, you’ll explore how to speak up on issues you care about, engage with your community and contribute to meaningful change.
You don’t need any prior experience in advocacy or activism- just curiosity and a willingness to get involved. It’s also a great chance to meet like-minded students, build useful communication and advocacy skills, and learn how small actions can make a genuine difference.
Best of all, the workshop is completely free, and free food will be provided!
Come along, get involved and leave with practical ways to become a more confident and active citizen.
