Held Together by a Half-Thought is a new conversation series presented by George Paton Gallery and hosted by the VCA. We're inviting expressions of interest from current BFA Honours students to participate in this first iteration of the program.

Successful applicants will be paired with an established practitioner for a 45-minute public conversation—not a formal interview but something closer to a generous cross-examination. The series prioritises shared inquiry, unfinished ideas, and unfolding dialogue, and is presented as an alternative to a formal artist talk. Students will receive a $200 honorarium and support from GPG staff to prepare for the conversation.

Applications Close Wednesday 9 July, midnight.
