How does an idea become a film? In Script to Screen, writer and director Angie Kilsby guides participants through the creative journey from the first written concept to the realities of production. The workshop explores how stories take shape through scriptwriting, visual planning, and collaboration, revealing how narrative decisions evolve as they move from page to screen. Through discussion, practical exercises, and insights from Angie’s experience in independent film production, participants will develop ideas for short scenes while considering character, tone, and visual storytelling. The session offers an accessible introduction to the filmmaking process, inviting emerging writers and filmmakers to think about how stories are written, shaped, and ultimately realised through the collective craft of cinema.
