I am thinking about if I should get up and turn on a lamp for him. He’ll complain if I don’t. But I’m not the one who is out. I am in bed and about to go to sleep. And because I don’t need a lamp on, I won’t do it. He will come home later and turn on a bigger, brighter light and I know it will wake me up. I will groan and say ‘Hey! Turn off that light’ then he will turn it off and apologise.
