A Little Crease of Comfort

I’m strangely comforted by the hardcover casing of Darby Hudson’s WALK.

Culture

I’m strangely comforted by the hardcover casing of Darby Hudson’s WALK. Like a chest with secrets locked inside, the book explores the dark and captivating composure that a walk can elicit. It’s ominous, from the words that whisper at you from the page, to the artwork that scratches itself into your soul.

“Your walk is your DNA in motion.”

I wanted more from the words, lyrically placed across each page, and to connect further with the sense of walking. Personally, walking is one of the only things that can calm me down also. So reading about it is all the more therapeutic and resonant. I identify with Hudson’s appreciation of a walk, and would love further exploration of the influence and interactions human actions on our being. This pulled at my heart, and it was a pleasure to be able to read it.
