Editing a Reel of Film: for Mother. (Without citation)
Cento.
We accept the love we think we deserve.
There can be no peace for us, only misery.
I’m letting life hit me until
I know that
love isn’t something that weak people do.
You can hit me, if you want to.
I wonder about you sometimes.
The past is past, … it should remain buried,
but I’d rather be in it.
You don't get better suffering than that.
I tried my hardest. I don't know what to do.
The places we once called home
erased by two decades of
flames. Sacrifice. Icarus.
I just woke up one day and I knew:
You are a worthless, friendless, … piece of shit.
You chew people up.
That’s what I love about
you … the tumour-like substance that lives
to be hugged.
You are the only reason
I don’t remember
the tyranny of
your filthy fucking name.
