Student Lecture Night
Student Lecture Night
8/10/2025 - 8/10/2025 5pm - 7pm
Peter Hall Building (building 160), JH Mitchell Theatre (room G01)
History Society
A small number of passionate students get the opportunity to share some of their historical knowledge with other members of our club. But in order to do that, we need volunteers - we cannot hold a lecture night without any lecturers.
If you would like to present on the night, please email us to express your interest. Please give us your name and a proposed topic/title for your lecture. Expressions of interest close at the end of week 9.
We love hearing about diverse historical topics, so no matter what your interest is, we are happy to accommodate it. (the only exception being topics of a too political or controversial nature, which we would prefer to avoid)
Details:
-
5-7pm, Wednesday 8th of October, in the Peter Hall Building (building 160); JH Mitchell Theatre (room G01).
-
Free pizza provided
-
Presentations are generally about 10min long (subject to requests) and accompanied by a powerpoint.
-
There will be time after each lecture for questions from the audience.
This event has always been a great success in the past, and we are looking forward to hearing from some of you with your ideas, and to another such thriving night.
