MUMSS AGM & BAR NIGHT 2025

Hello Everyone!

The time of the year has rolled around again to host our important Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Join us from 5:30pm onwards –  AGM will start at 6:00pm SHARP. Please arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand to secure a ticket.

(...and then join us for a very fun Bar Night right after...) 🍸🥂

We're promising a tonne of laughs, great vibes, and of course...free pizza! (how could you say no??!) 🍕

When attending the event please ensure you have a free ticket from the UMSU website.

The ticket MUST be obtained 15 minutes prior to the event or during the event.
The ticket is only accessible within this designated time frame.

Our AGM will be held in person at Market Hall (Building 189), Ground Floor, Activity Room G02.

During the AGM, we will be holding our yearly elections so that the club can remain formally affiliated with UMSU for another exciting year.

The AGM is your chance to have your say and contribute to forming our new committee! Joining this important event will help support MUMSS move into the upcoming year. You'll also be able to socialise with your fellow club members and enjoy some food and chats!

If you are an existing or new MUMSS member and are passionate about becoming more involved in university life, we encourage you to run for a position on the committee.
Being part of the MUMSS committee has been one of the most rewarding parts of our university experience - it is a great opportunity to make new friends while celebrating Macedonian culture and identity. 🫶

Voting

MUMSS members are able to nominate themselves for the following committee positions:

• 4 Executive positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer)
• 3-6 General committee positions

If you are interested in becoming more involved with the club this year by becoming a part of the committee, please reach out to us so that we can provide you with details of what each position entails and the process of elections.

If you are interested in joining the committee but are unable to attend the AGM at the stated date and time, you are able to nominate yourself to run for a position in 'absentia' by emailing our Returning Officer, Isabella Maticevski, who will respond explaining our election process. Her email is imaticevski@student.unimelb.edu.au.
