Volunteering @ Mt Rothwell

18/08/2025 - 18/08/2025 8am - 9pm

Mt Rothwell Biodiversity Interpretation Centre

Wildlife Conservation Society

We're happy to confirm that WCS will be out volunteering and observing nocturnal wildlife at Mt Rothwell again this year on the 18th of August (Monday)! 🦘

Mt Rothwell is the largest feral predator-free ecosystem in Victoria where you can see some of Australia's most threatened terrestrial fauna, including the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, Southern Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby and Eastern Quoll. Mt Rothwell was established for the management of high conservation value species breeding and research programs. The centre has a focus on Victorian species with a particular emphasis on species indigenous to the volcanic basalt plains grasslands, habitats and woodlands.

The day will consist of volunteering around the sanctuary, having a BBQ dinner 🥘 provided by WCS, and an evening wildlife spotlight tour 🔦.

📅 Date: Monday 18th August
🕑 Time: 8am-7.45pm
📍 Venue: Mt Rothwell Biodiversity Interpretation Centre: 5 Mt Rothwell Rd, Little River VIC 3211

We are looking for more drivers to help our friendly WCS members get there! We are already at capacity for non-drivers.
