Society for Astronomy at Melbourne University (SAMU)
The Astronomy Club is thrilled to announce an upcoming visit to Scienceworks and the Melbourne Planetarium!
This excursion is a fantastic opportunity to experience astronomy in an immersive and interactive way. We will meet at the Federation Square steps at 12:00 PM and travel together by train to Scienceworks, where we’ll spend the afternoon exploring the museum’s hands-on exhibits and enjoying a captivating planetarium show that brings the cosmos to life on the full-dome screen.
The cost of the trip is only $5 per person, covering entry and the planetarium experience.
Beyond the show, members will have the chance to deepen their understanding of the universe, share insights with fellow astronomy enthusiasts, and enjoy a fun day out as a club. If time allows, and people are agreeable, we will finish the evening together with a visit to Grazeland, a lively dining precinct offering a variety of food and entertainment. This promises to be an enriching and enjoyable event for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just beginning your journey into astronomy.
